DMV Practice Tests

advice from driving instructors

If you’ve been searching for a DMV practice test, you’ve definitely come to the right website. We offer DMV practice tests for all 50 states. While some states offer a online DMV practice test with a limited number of questions, many do not. Our online DMV practice tests will help you prepare for the big day. It should be obvious that our online DMV practice tests are not meant to replace studying the state DMV manual. You should first and foremost study the drivers license manual given to you by your state DMV office. Our questions are taken directly from state DMV manuals, but rules and laws are subject to change every year. Our DMV practice tests should be considered “practice only.” Most people pass their DMV test on the first try. Of those who don’t pass on the first try, the majority fail the physical driving test, not the written test. Obviously our DMV practice tests will not help you pass the driving test. To pass the physical driving test you need to practice driving. Please be sure to bookmark our DMV Practice Test website and come back as often as you’d like. After all, practice makes perfect! When studying for your test, it’s important to memorize the distances. Most states have several versions of their DMV license test. Some versions include a lot of distance questions. How many feet should you flip on your turn signal before you turn? How many feet away should an oncoming car be before you dim your high beam headlights? Pay attention to the distances! Everyone recognizes a red octagonal sign but not everyone pays attention to the distances mentioned in the DMV manual.

Road Signs Practice Test

advice from driving instructors

This is the fourth of our four DMV practice tests. There are 20 questions. You have 15 minutes to answer all 20 questions. You must answer every question. Your score will be shown immediately after you complete the test. This test focuses solely on the many road signs you’ll encounter on the rural streets, freeways, and interstate highways in America. All states include road sign questions on their DMV tests. On average, 10% of the questions on the DMV test will involve road signs. Be sure to pay particular attention to the colors of the signs. You need to know if a yield sign is white lettering on a red background or red lettering on a white background.
